Scott Vanecek literally grew up in family’s business, becoming the fourth generation in his family with a passion for building hand-crafted cabinetry. Scott’s father designed and built handcrafted cabinets on his family’s horse farm in Imlay City, Michigan. Scott began sanding doors when he was 12 and he has honed his skills ever since. After a stint in the commercial side of cabinetry, Scott now specializes in building and installing custom residential cabinetry based on a European style full overlay method. Scott, his wife and business partner, Anne P. Vanecek, and their dog, Lucy, live in Midtown and hope to soon have the time to renovate their own kitchen.
Anne Vanecek
A second generation Atlantan, Anne Vanecek’s family has been improving Intown Atlanta for more than 30 years – way back most of Intown was called Downtown. Today, Anne and her husband, Scott, are collaborating to improve Intown residences from the inside out. Their joint venture, S. Vanecek Custom Cabinetry, strikes a cord with homeowners and builders alike who realize that custom cabinetry distinguishes houses in all price ranges. A University of Georgia graduate, Anne worked for a local commercial real estate development company for seven years before leaving to start S. Vanecek Custom Cabinetry in 2006. |
